PREORDER YOUR COPY OF BEFORE WE FORGET KINDNESS, the fifth book in the best-selling and much loved series, NOW!

From the author of the international bestseller Before the Coffee Gets Cold, this book follows four new customers who hope to travel back in time in a little Japanese café.

In a back alley in Tokyo, there is a café that has been serving carefully brewed coffee for more than one hundred years. Local legend says that this shop offers something else besides coffee--the chance to travel back in time.

With faces both familiar and new, Tales from the Cafe follows the story of four patrons who visit to take advantage of café Funiculi Funicula's time-traveling offer and revisit moments with family, friends and lovers. Each one must face up to the past to move on with their lives.

Kawaguchi's wistful and heartwarming new novel once again invites the reader to ask themselves, "What would you do if you could travel back in time?"

This is the second book in the series of "Before the Coffee gets cold". As I write this review, I assume that either you have read the review of the first part, or that you're not interested in reading the review at all. In both the cases, repeating what has already been told is not relevant. The book follows the same story line as base, and creates four new scenarios with some new characters along with the old ones. The first part might have left you with some open questions that this book puts a light on. And, as this book reaches its conclusion, it gives you a reason to go pick up the next book in the series. Coming to the four chapters, it again involves events of grief. The pick is that they actually try to fill in hope in the hearts of the readers through these events of grief. As compared to part 1, this book could not impress me as a great read (hardly matters, who knows you may end up finding it a great fit!) Learnings that touched me - 1. If you don't tell them what you feel about them, they will end up making their own assumptions which may be absolute contrast to the reality. 2. Your happiness is much precious to the people who love you. Even if they are not with you anymore, be happy for their happiness, instead of lamenting their loss. Too long for you to have a reason to not read this review? Then you go read the book itself, it's actually a short read.
