This book was a little difficult for me to get into at first, but once I was hooked I didn’t want to stop reading. I really enjoyed getting the backstory from a previous storm that happened in the town & learning how it connected with current events. Kieran was my favorite character, just because he seemed to have a lot of growth due to grief and loss. I didn’t care much for Sean or Liam though - they just seemed to struggle with acceptance & liked to blame others for their emotions. Overall, I’d love to give this author some more love!
Enjoyed the writing style, characters were personable, and the story was engaging and surprising.
DNF'ed at 3% in audio book. I heard some people say that this is a good one but it is a sloooooowwwwwww as hell burn. And I have too many other books that I would rather be reading. Some doorstops included. Plus the narrator's was not good to me. There was barely any change in his voice for character changes which makes is a real brow furler because so many characters are introduced at once. UMMMMM hell no. I don't recommend this one.
