Review after second time reading in March 2021.
I did enjoy this book the second time around, but I didn't enjoy it quite as much as the first time that I read it. I decided to reread it because I couldn't remember the plot or characters, but once I started listening to it, it all came flooding back to me.
A particular niche that I love in thrillers, is when the main characters are relative of serial killers. I find it fascinating! One thing I liked about this book is that Gina/Gwen is stronger because of what happened to her and her family. I can relate so much to that.
I do wish that there was more content surrounding her husband, but that's also because I'm fascinated by the macabre.

This was a free Kindle First read for June. I selected it because it was a "thriller" and had not read the author before. It had painfully slow story-line development for the first quarter of the book, but picked up and I couldn't put the second half down. The overall story isn't for the faint of heart and leans toward gory descriptions at times.
