Scarred (Never After Series)

I loved this book I couldn’t put it down!

All I can say is mmm 🤤 the scared prince.

I love how Emily has turned these classic stories into dark romance. She’s an amazing writer and I can’t wait to read the next one!!

this was my second book from Emily McIntire It was a very slow start for me to be fully interested however when tristan was finally introduced I was head over heels the said scarred prince I loved his vengance plan between his own brother and his betroved and then wanting to be seen as more than a trouble maker and I adored his relationship with the little boy named tiger I just felt like Sara wasn't a FMC that brought anything to the story her pov was lack luster in my opinion

I went into this novel not knowing what it was about, but knowing (after reading the first book) that it was going to have some fairytale/Disney vibes to it. Was I happily surprised when I figured out that this book was based on The Lion King? YES! This is an early 1900s royalty/High Court based story. The “I will burn the world for her” kind of love that sets all our bookish hearts on fire. Supplement that with a “Reign” tv show kind of background and you’re in for a treat.
