A reimagining of The Lion King.
This started off really slow. Slow enough that I half considered not finishing. I’m glad I stuck with it though because it did pick up and I found it quite entertaining.
Not as spicy as Hooked, but still spicy.
It occurs to me, too, that I don’t actually know anything about the original source material. I’ll have to fix that!

DNF I've been intermittently reading this book since April, and I told myself that if nothing significant occurs by the halfway point, I would stop reading. However, I couldn't even reach that 50% mark; it's a slow burn, and I'm finding it hard to continue. I had high expectations, but maybe I'll revisit it later or start from the beginning another time. For now, I'll set it aside.

This isn’t similar to the first one at all but it didn’t disappoint in amazing me too. It’s so good. The environment the story takes place in, the plot twist, the TENSIONNNN etc. I usually get bored whenever the tension lasts too long in books but this one was so exciting that I just had to keep reading it.
