Summer won't last forever.

Sage Byrd has lived in the coastal town of Spunes, Oregon (not to be confused with Forks, Washington) her entire life. She's learned to love her small world, with the misfit animals on her hobby farm, and her friendships with the town’s inhabitants. But when her 5-year relationship ends and her ex, town-golden-boy Ian, suddenly gets engaged, Sage needs a win—something that will convince everyone to stop pitying her all the time, and to put Ian in his place. The Festival of Spunes, the town’s annual summer competition, would be the perfect opportunity. She just needs a partner.

Fisher Lange was a hotshot chef in New York City until the loss of his sister left him numb, grieving, and responsible for his teenage niece Indy. When Fisher loses his Michelin star along with his love of cooking, his boss sends him and Indy to Spunes on a much-needed summer sabbatical to consult on a restaurant opening. But when clashes with the townspeople threaten his last chance to redeem himself and a kiss with his new neighbor Sage leads to dating rumors, a strategic alliance might just be the best way to turn things around.

A deal is struck. Sage will improve Fisher’s image in the eyes of the town and remove the roadblocks he is facing with the restaurant, and Fisher will be Sage’s partner for the competition. But as their pact quickly turns into steamy rendezvous, emotional wounds begin to heal, and the pair tries to savor every moment, they start to realize that summer is racing by much faster than they would like...

Filled with spicy summer fun, small-town charm, and Big Feelings, this highly anticipated romcom is Tarah DeWitt’s best yet.

"Simply unputdownable. A top read for me this year!"
—Elsie Silver, USA Today bestselling author of Flawless

"DeWitt’s sprightly narrative is by turns funny and red-hot, as Sage and Fisher, who share a love of puns, develop some serious chemistry... This is a charmer." —Publishers Weekly

What a delightful and charming story. I loved the banter/humor and heartwarming story about Sage and Fisher. I felt both were so realistic and could relate to them. This book was very emotional and felt that the life lessons of family, friendship and connection were shown. Another aspect I enjoy about this author are the not common names used for characters.

I really enjoyed Savor It - I thought it was a good mix of romance and both characters growing, learning, and healing. Sage is incredibly giving and king, but almost too much. I was shocked when she gave away her mom’s journal with all of her advice that she’s had for years since her death . I did like how we see Fisher and Indy, his niece, grow to love Spunes just as much as Sage does, but I appreciate that Fisher went back to fix some things from his previous life and circumstances. I liked how Sage and Fisher were fairly equally giving in their relationship - each one paying attention to the other and stepping up when needed. Overall, 4 stars and a great read.

Tropes: single dad (guardian), grief/healing, fake dating, grumpy/sunshine, small town

Fisher and his teenage niece, Indy move to Spoons, Oregon after he loses his big time Chef job in NYC. Thankful for his boss still having faith in him, Fisher agrees to head to this small town to oversee a new restaurant build for her. After an extensive and exhaustingly long road trip, Fisher and Indy arrive at their summer rental. They pass out only to be awoken by someone or something intruding on their home! The town's fire and police department show up as well as their neighbor, Sage. Sage runs the farm of rescue animals next door - she's fun and quirky and loves her small town. After a couple more run-ins with each other, Sage and Fisher come to an agreement about their "relationship" for the summer. Fisher will help get the town off Sage's back about her love life, and Sage will offer her "sage" advice on how to fit in and help move the restaurant project along. Little do they know that their fast friendship is about to end up as so much more...

Savor It was my first title by Tara DeWitt and I have to say I'm pretty impressed! I'm looking forward to getting into her backlog of books!

I will say that I felt like it took this book a little bit to pick up, but once you got into it, you were into it. I loved Sage so much and Fisher was so grumpy and sweet. He's a wonderful addition to my ever growing list of book boyfriends! The banter in this was great too! I also loved that the author made you really care about the side characters too... I mean, it takes a lot to make me worry about a Goose's wellbeing.

The audio of this was great too! I loved the dual narration! I could really see this turning into a series since Sage has a couple brothers...

Thank you to NetGalley, Tarah DeWitt and MacMillian Audio for this ALC in exchange for my honest review.

This was a really cute book ☺️ but really didn’t have nothing exciting after the half of the book.
