Savaged

He certainly looks primitive with his unkempt appearance and animal skin attire, but she also sees intelligence in his eyes, sensitivity in his expression. Who is he? And how is it possible that he's lived alone in the forest since he was a small child? As secrets begin to emerge, Harper is thrust into something bigger and more diabolical than she ever could have imagined. And standing right at the center of it all, is Lucas. But is he truly the wild man he appears to be? A cold blooded killer? An innocent victim? Or a perplexing mix of all three?Harper must find out the answers to these questions because the more time she spends with him, the more she risks losing her heart.

I’m finding this hard to rate because yes, I did enjoy the cast of characters, but the story itself is just bonkers - equally convoluted yet predictable - it’s such a paradox. So, if you can look past the plot and just focus on the endearing and heartbreaking leads, you may enjoy this one.
I wasn’t sure about this book at first, but I love Mia Sheridan’s books so I thought I’d give it a try, and boy am I glad I did! I finished it in one day, that’s how much of a page-turner it is. “Savaged” is a bit different than Sheridan’s other books in that there’s a lot more mystery and twists, but there’s still that spark of attraction and romance between the hero and the heroine with a splash of spice. If I wrote much more, I’d be giving away spoilers!! Take a chance on “Savaged”, you won’t regret it!
