While the concept was interesting, the execution was lack-luster. So much of the character interactions were rushed thus leaving them skin-deep.

I get what was attempted with the non-linear pathway of telling the story, but it really came up short for me, not quite hitting the mark for what this style should have done.

I have both the hard back and the audio version of this book. We decided to listen to the audio on the drive home from Florida for our book club. While it starts off a bit slow, I enjoyed the book as it began to pick up and get moving. The narrator on the audio is a dead fit for every voice that he does and he nails the characters to a T. The story is very interesting and leaves you wanting to know what is happening to the characters. I would recommend this book as a read (or listen) if you like Veronica Rossi. I am looking forward to the second book!

****I will add that there is a few parts in the hardback written version of the book that very from the audio version that is read. I am not sure why the changes as neither seem to state they are abridged, revised or a second edition.****
