Now they get to call all the shots: Andy writes and travels to her heart's content; Emily plans parties and secures advertising like a seasoned pro. Even better, Andy has met the love of her life. Max Harrison, scion of a storied media family, is confident, successful, and drop-dead gorgeous. Their wedding will be splashed across all the society pages as their friends and family gather to toast the glowing couple. Andy Sachs is on top of the world. But karma's a bitch. The morning of her wedding, Andy can't shake the past. And when she discovers a secret letter with crushing implications, her wedding-day jitters turn to cold dread. Andy realizes that nothing--not her husband, nor her beloved career--is as it seems. She never suspected that her efforts to build a bright new life would lead her back to the darkness she barely escaped ten years ago--and directly into the path of the devil herself...Featuring all new scenes with the villainess we love to hate (hate to love?), Miranda Priestly, Revenge Wears Prada in paperback is another publishing event!

Hmmm. What do I think about this book? Let me start with the positives. The storyline was fairly interesting, ten years A.M. (After Miranda) and Andy's life is much the better.

***SPOILER ALERT****

Her new best friend is now Emily, which may seem far fetched, but really isn't, and Andy is getting married. Co-owners of glossy bridal magazine, Andy and Emily are living their dreams, but of course, dreams change. I liked the relationships built in the book, the descriptions of newlywed life and new motherhood, but so many characters seemed one dimensional, including Andy's husband. Additionally, there was WAY too much NYC namedropping. As I've seen with many folks from NYC, or all wrapped up in NYC, this author doesn't seem to get that not all of us have been to NYC or even care to go. I think that's what bugged me the most.

Three stars for the storyline, at least that was good.

Fun, but not quite as fun as the first one. Andy has teamed up with a former enemy to create a magazine from scratch... which all of a sudden appeals to Miranda's publishing house. Hmmm. And then the fun begins. Affluent life in NYC is so far beyond my means, but it's entertaining to watch in this way - descriptions of events and clothes and food and behaviors are quite vivid.
