Radiant Sin (Dark Olympus, 4)

There's nowhere more dangerous than Olympus...and no one more captivating than its golden god: Apollo. Keeper of secrets, master of his shining realm...and the only man I am powerless to deny.

*A scorchingly hot modern retelling of Apollo and Cassandra.*

As a disgraced member of a fallen house, Cassandra Gataki has seen firsthand what comes from trusting the venomous Thirteen. But when the maddeningly gorgeous and kind Apollo asks her to go undercover as his plus-one at a week-long party hosted by a dangerous new power player...Cassandra reluctantly agrees to have his back.

On one condition: when it's all over, and Apollo has the ammunition he needs to protect Olympus, she and her sister will be allowed to leave. For good.

Apollo may be the city's official spymaster, but it's his ability to inspire others that keeps him at the top. Despite what the rest of Olympus says, there's no one he trusts more than Cassandra. Yet even as their fake relationship takes a wicked turn for the scaldingly hot, a very real danger surfaces... threatening not only Cassandra and Apollo, but the very heart of Olympus itself.

Summary: The Gataki Family attempted to assassinate one of the Thirteen. After losing her parents, Cassandra was left to raise her younger sister while the Thirteen quietly covered up the murder. For the past five years, she has worked for Apollo, secretly longing for him just as much as he desires her. An intriguing figure hosts a week-long "party," where guests are invited to partake in various trials. But will they make it out alive? And as tensions rise, will Cassandra and Apollo finally confront their feelings for each other, or will Cassandra choose to leave Olympus forever? Review: Radiant Sins felt more like a casual stroll through the park—pleasant but not particularly exciting. Why? Because it came across as more of a filler book. While it was necessary to move the main plot forward and follow Cassandra and Apollo’s story, it didn’t offer much new or valuable information. The only real difference was the trials orchestrated by Minos. Eventually, I’d expect we’ll get a deeper look at what was happening behind the scenes with him. Like all the books in this series, it wraps up the love story of the characters we’re following. The main plot continues, filling in gaps within the series. Finally, we have a storyline that flows continuously rather than solely focusing on romance—though I must say, I do enjoy that aspect a lot. At this stage of my dinner party, my table is filling up with quite the cast of characters. But this particular guest? I’m inviting purely for the kinks—Hermes, come on down! As for the infamous room full of a hundred angry trash pandas, while Minos and his family might be the obvious choice, I’d much rather see Artemis fight for her life. Bye, Felicia! Since this series features separate love stories within Olympus, I’d say this book is mainly essential for its final chapters. If you're reading through the series, it’s a must-read, as each story connects and the main plot carries over into the next book.

I really enjoyed this installation in the series. I think the world building is interesting and I'm definitely going to keep going as long as Robert writes this series.

Cassandra is such a strong female lead, that won't be silenced. This book gets into some spicy stuff, but not without consent 😉. Enjoyed the plot, yet was hard at first to keep track of all the party guests.

Although this books is clearly a filler to continue the plot of the series, I appreciate it nonetheless! I love the tension between Cassandra and Apollo, and the "Clue" (game) undertone made it a page turner!

These two are ridiculous and I love them.
