Hate to be a dissenter on this but it just really wasn't for me. Everything was just a bit too caricatured. I get that Alexis grew up rich and coddled - but she didn't even know how to use a broom? Her "bad" friends were basically Cinderella's stepsisters. Daniel was adorable but almost too good to be true, he didn't feel real to me. And he put up with so much from her. Then the town itself willing things to be - just too much for me!

Done with this one! I just love her books! This one gets a solid 4 ⭐️from me! I loved the characters and the story line. Truly a beautiful book. I enjoyed
“Yours Truly” (book 2 in the series, I accidentally read them out of order) even more and gave that one a 5 ⭐️without a doubt! The characters wooed my heart a bit more in that one due to some similarities to my own life (kidney failure in my early teens and very very ill like the brother and a true love story after a toxic marriage like the main characters). I just loved it so much. On to book 3 in the series, we will see if it holds up to book 2 or not!
