I’m not much of a romance reader, but I have been trying to branch out genres recently and I loved Daisy jones & Evelyn Hugo so I thought Taylor Jenkins Reid would be a good place to start.
Unfortunately this book definitely wasn’t for me.
I don’t like being hateful on a book, as I know that some people may have loved this, but I just felt there was no real point in the book.
I liked the idea of it, and the beginning was quite hooking with the story line, but after that, it all went down hill. I honestly felt nothing happened, and the ending was basically where we started, nothing had really changed.
That why my rating is this low.
If you’re looking to check out any Taylor Jenkins Reid books I wouldn’t start here.
Slow start but once I was hooked I couldn’t put it down. I spent the second half of the book torn between the two loves. A great story of being able to have more than one true love in your lifetime
Cute story, I liked the book. I usually cry a lot when I read but this one was not a tear jerker in my opinion. Still a very good love story!
3.5 stars Total light beach read but well done. Somewhat predictable but not too light. Cheesy? Yes. But it's supposed to be. Read it in one day. I know much of it is unbelievable but somehow I thought it worked.
Loved it! Be prepared to cry. This is more of a story about how you grow to change as an individual hidden behind relationships being the center. I think this is a really good book about finding yourself and growth and understanding that change is a good thing and just because things don’t last forever doesn’t invalidate the love, memories, connection, etc.
