One Perfect Couple

Harkening to Agatha Christie’s classic And Then There Were None, this high-tension and ingenious thriller follows five couples trapped on a storm-swept island as a killer stalks among them—from Ruth Ware, the New York Times bestselling author who “is turning out to be as ingenious and indefatigable as the Queen of Crime” (The Washington Post).

I’m not sure if it’s because I just finished love island but this book was such a fun read.
It’s about a reality show gone horribly wrong.
I know I said “fun” but this is a thriller with lots of bad things happening, but the concept felt unique, the characters had a lot of depth to them and the story never felt dull to me. I always wanted to know what would happen next.
Ruth Ware is a phenomenal author!

Ruth Ware did it again. This book was everything I wanted it to be—eerie, intense, and completely unputdownable. From the very beginning, I had that sinking feeling that things would spiral out of control, and sure enough, the suspense never let up. Lyla should have never agreed to go on that show—seriously, being stuck on a deserted island with a bunch of strangers? Hard pass for me. But Ware’s writing is so immersive that I felt like I was on that island too—battling the storm, gasping for air, and feeling the dread sink in with every page. And yes, people die. A lot of them. It’s brutal, raw, and somehow terrifyingly real. I kept asking myself, “What would I do?” or worse, “What if that was how it ended for me?” The plot was unique and so well-executed—perfect for fans of suspense who love a fast-paced but deeply atmospheric read.
Ruth Ware is my favorite author, and didn't disapoint with this one either. Aside from it being a bit slow/repetitive in a few spots I LOVED IT, will be rereading, and highly recommend you read it too.
Barbara's pick.
A novel of surviving a tropical storm (and other elements). A combo of And There Were None... and Lord Of The Flies.
I could totally see this as a movie,
I enjoyed the almost Naked and alone mixed with real life survivor and crazy monsoon weather. Great idea and easy read
