3.5⭐️ An infertility mixup that leads to romance? That does sound like a one in a million scenario. What are the odds? Myles is a married father of a healthy baby girl when he gets the news… Sahara is a famous entertainer living the fabulous life when she gets the news… There was a mixup and the wrong eggs were used. Baby Haylee belongs to Myles but his wife is not the mommy. Sahara is. Once Sahara finds out that she has a precious baby girl it’s not as easy as it seems to sign over her rights and walk away. Good reads labels this as a “celebrity rom-com about forbidden romance and shared custody”. Interesting!! It was so completely far fetched, but I enjoyed it 😆 I like off the wall types of things every now and again. I liked the interracial romance that formed between Myles and Sahara, and how naturally they came together to parent their baby girl. It wasn’t planned, but turned out to be the best possible outcome for them all. Their chemistry and mutual attraction was great and their love for their daughter was super sweet. Where Myles was stiff and rigid, Sahara was take charge and full of sass. I think I would’ve liked to have seen a bit more drama and push/pull but this was a lighthearted romance so I think it was meant to be more surface level than deep/emotional. What I really loved was the narrator, Jeanette Illidge! She was great, perfectly portraying characters across ethnicity and gender. I was so curious that I had to look her up. I’d love to listen to more of her audiobooks!
