"Mother Lode Mashup" is a two-volume set containing literature about California's Gold Rush Country, often called the Mother Lode. Volume 1 contains fictional works; volume 2 is comprised of nonfiction. This volume (volume 1) contains short stories, extracts from novels, and a complete novel.
