This book had me absolutely wrecked. It’s one of those stories that makes you stare off into space and think about how a single choice can change everything.

Midnight Rain asks the question: what if Charlotte never went after Sutton? What if she stayed closeted, chose her career, and let love slip away? Years later, the two meet again; Sutton a divorced professor and mother, Charlotte a senator finally brave enough to live openly and suddenly they’re standing face-to-face with all the “what ifs” that never stopped haunting them.
