I loved everything about this book. The exploration of grief and how it affects us as we move through life, living with guilt, and moving on after a tragedy. I loved the suburban vibes and found the story to be incredibly engaging.
(sigh)
This book sucked.
It was boring, repetitive and truthfully a snoozefest.
90% of the book is Ethan crying over billy⦠while I understand childhood trauma happens etc etc, this was just so annoying.

This was my least favorite book by Sager. A friend of mine warned me but I needed an easy read. Little did I know this would turn into a slow, monotonous, long read that took me longer than any of his other books have. It was super repetitive and aimless and I am glad it’s finally over. The ending fell flat and I can’t say there was even a highlight of the book. I did like the last couple pages. They were sweet so I gave in and included a second star.
