“How many loves do you get in a lifetime?”
She is a beautiful, affluent, self-involved, and mildly neurotic London socialite. He is Britain’s most photographed bad boy who broke her heart.
Magnolia Parks and BJ Ballentine are meant to be, and everyone knows it.
She dates other people to keep him at bay; he sleeps with other girls to get back at her for it. But at the end of every sad endeavor to get over one another, it’s still each other they crawl back to.
But now their dysfunction is catching up with them, pulling at their seams and fraying the world they’ve built; a world where neither has ever let the other go completely.
As the cracks start to show and secrets begin to surface, Magnolia and BJ are finally forced to face the formidable question they’ve been avoiding all their lives: How many loves do you really get in a lifetime?

âInfidelity aside, you think he's perfect. That wete perfect, and that nothing in this world past, present or future could be big enough or bad enough to justify us not being together. I get it, I've been there. I've thought that too.â
Ummm this is the most toxic thing I've ever read. This is like, in Vanderpump Rules, if Stassi had stayed with Jax in Season 1 but Jax got with every other server at Sur (and did hard drugs).
Magnolia literally was gaslit for about 300 pages. Her drug, alcohol and sex addicted boyfriend, BJ, cheated on her with an undisclosed woman. They broke up and she started dating other people. BJ didn't like that so he slept with 3/4th of the London population and then has the audacity to tell Magnolia that she's the problem. Magnolia is too good for him and I don't know why she was so blindly in love with him.
That being said, if this was a Hulu/FX series, I would watch it immediately.

Great start, fun ideas like gossip girl UK. However, so repetitive of a toxic relationship that ended boring. Final ending was underwhelming - overall, disappointing

I have not read a book in so long that encapsulates me the way this one did from the very beginning! I was so aggravated, and excited reading about Parks and BJ that it reminded me of how well of a job Jenna did developing the characters. I eagerly await the next book in Magnolia’s series.
