The imagery the writing elicits is astounding. this story is hauntingly descriptive. A thing of nightmares with characters on nearly every page that commit the most vile acts against each other. THE MENTAL WARFARE alone is staggering. Merging the occlumency and dark magic from Harry Potter and the morally despicable crimes of Game of Thrones. I dont think anyone writes a villain as well as Claire Legrand does!
