Review: Lies He Told Me by James Patterson & David Ellis Lies He Told Me is a fast-paced domestic thriller that centres on a seemingly ordinary family whose life is turned upside down when hidden truths begin to surface. The story follows a wife who starts to question how well she really knows her husband after a series of unsettling events expose cracks in their carefully constructed life. As suspicions grow and secrets unravel, the tension builds around identity, trust, and the consequences of deception. The storyline is engaging and keeps you guessing throughout. Just when you think you’ve worked it out, another twist nudges your suspicions in a different direction. It’s a quick and easy read, and because the narrative focuses on only a few main characters, it’s not too complicated to follow. The pacing moves along well, making it ideal if you’re looking for something gripping but not overly heavy. While the plot builds towards a clear climax near the end, the resolution wasn’t as satisfying as expected. After such steady suspense and intrigue, the ending felt slightly underwhelming and didn’t quite deliver the impact the build-up promised. Overall, it’s a solid, entertaining thriller with enough twists to keep you turning the pages. Not the most powerful ending, but definitely a decent and enjoyable read.
