I don't feel great about reading a book that romanticizes and glorifies drug use for about 90% of the book and then only remembers to talk about being sober and making goals in the last 10% of it. I was not a fan of the instant love, especially considering the sort of person Kid was before he met Johanna. It was also really hard for me to believe that the family didn't know the reason of death for Joanna's mother. In an effort to make Johanna 'different' from other women, she was actually made incredibly disturbed. This is another romance where both parties are toxic for other people and probably should have worked on bettering themselves individually before being in a relationship. But good luck telling them that.

wow. Wow. What a story. Absolutely 1K+/1K+ recommended. Jescie Hall is a phenomenal writer, and made Kai and Han out to be so candid that they could’ve jumped off the page. I can’t wait for more of her books!

Currently my favorite book of all time. It’s a dark one but reeeeally good (triggers for drug abuse/self harm). It was written so well though and definitely worth the pain.
