🩸🖤 Immortal Dark — Book Review 9/10 ⭐️ | TRUE Enemies to Lovers Okay, Immortal Dark gets a 9/10 from me. I really enjoyed this book! And when they say enemies to lovers, they mean ENEMIES to lovers. 😂 Honestly, by the end of the book, I wouldn't even call them lovers yet. They're barely associates! They eventually start working together and form somewhat of a partnership, but love? Oh, we're not there yet. And I actually LOVE that. I can already see where their relationship is heading, though, and when these two finally fall for each other, I feel like it's going to be AMAZING. The tension and foundation are already there, and I cannot wait to see how their relationship develops in the second book. Now let's talk about our main girl because... THIS GIRL IS CRAZY. 😭 She is stubborn, determined, reckless, hardheaded, and completely focused on whatever goal she has decided she's going after. Once she gets something in her head, that's IT. There is no Plan B. There is no stopping to think. There is just, “I'm doing this, and whatever happens, happens.” Girl...PLEASE. 😭 She worked my LAST nerve sometimes. But at the same time, I understand why she behaves the way she does. She's determined to find her sister, and she's willing to do absolutely anything to make that happen. Her determination makes sense once you understand her story, but there were definitely moments where I wanted her to stop for five seconds and THINK before doing something completely insane. And then we have the male lead... The funniest part is realizing that he's just as crazy as she is. They're honestly two sides of the same coin, and watching them go back and forth was one of my favorite parts of the book. I loved the banter between the human and the vampire, especially because neither one of them is willing to back down. He'll do something completely unhinged, and then she'll turn around and do something equally unhinged. At some point you're just like, “Oh...both of y'all are crazy. Got it.” 😂 Beyond their relationship, though, I really enjoyed the world itself. I loved learning about the vampire society, the college, the different houses, the power struggles, and how everything operates. There's a lot happening politically within this world, especially surrounding who will have control and the fight for power. We also slowly learn more about her family and her family's past, which I really enjoyed. But I think one of my favorite parts of her personal journey was watching her learn how to trust other people. She's so used to handling everything herself and being completely focused on finding her sister that forming genuine friendships isn't easy for her. Throughout the story, we start seeing those walls come down little by little. She begins developing friendships, learning to rely on other people, and realizing that maybe she doesn't have to throw herself into every dangerous situation without caring what happens to her. And then, as more information starts coming out, everything she thought she knew begins to change. Suddenly, things aren't exactly what they seemed. Now she has to reconsider what she believes, rethink certain people and situations, and somehow work alongside the ONE person she cannot stand. 👀 I'm not going to say much more because I don't want to spoil anything, but I really enjoyed where the story went. Overall, Immortal Dark was a really good read. The world-building was interesting, I loved the vampire college setting and politics, the friendships were fun to watch develop, and the two main characters are absolutely insane together—in the best way. 😂 And most importantly, I appreciate that the author didn't rush the romance. If you're telling me enemies to lovers, THIS is what I want. Don't have them trying to kill each other on Monday and confessing their undying love by Friday. 😭 Let these people actually be enemies first! Right now, they're still somewhere around “I can't stand you, but unfortunately I need you.” And I am perfectly fine with that. 9/10 ⭐️ I can't wait for Book Two because when these two finally realize they're in love... Oh, it's going to be GOOD. 🩸🖤

WOC, Vampires, slow burn enemies to... Will they wont they come on I'm dying here!!!!!! Dark achedemia, found family, age difference, so many tropes so much to love here just read it we ended on a cliffy I've ordered book 2 I didn't realize this was a trilogy or I would've had it locked and loaded. If your going to read I suggest you prepare better than I did!

Interesting read. I'll most likely read the second book. If you don't like vampires, keep walking.

Loved it! Very gothic and dark

This was a reread for me and I’m a little annoyed that I didn’t like it as much the second time. The first time I read this earlier this year I ate it up! I loved everything and Kidan and her childish was funny. Maybe I was in shock she’d do some of these things which was what made it amusing. I think the enemies to lovers was very strong though. This time, Kidan really got on my nerves to where it was less amusing and more you’re doing the most. I’m just interested to see where we go from here with Eternal Ruin.
