I loved the relationship between Jeremy and Cecily. I also appreciate how Jeremy stood up for Annika, got brownie points for that from me! Felt a little bit more spicy than plot at times, but over, I loved it!
Teddy Hamilton, always does an amazing job at narrating, and it is no different with this book. I am not the biggest fan of Zarah Hampton-Brown but overall, they worked together to tell a great story!

Love this story as well they belong together
Love this series
I’d rather be smashed and broken to pieces with you than be whole without you
I'll start this off with one sentence: the Volkov god complex is well deserved because I'd take a gun up my _____ anytime (fill in the blanks).
3.5 ⭐
The Jeremy that I imagined is not the man in the covers (I expected someone more tougher looking) but I'd take it anyway. A obsessed, stalking, toxic man is the hype this days and I'm all on board for that. A man who can be rough yet soft is always the textbook, model answer man right? And that too a man who likes a little gun and knife play. He kills, he loves, he fucks. What else does a lady need?
Kim-Xander's book was the book I could relate to the most but I didn't like that it was basically a repetition in this book. I love how mental health is given importance in Ms Kent's books but recycling the main themes just because they're the parents didn't sit well with me. I was disappointed because I truly wanted Cecily to be different from Kim because she knows her mother's struggles but it felt like Cecily was just a younger version of Kim. But that conversation between Cecily and Kim made me cry nevertheless because I felt the pain, as someone with mental health struggles myself.
I loved the vulnerability between Jer-Cecily that they built up over time and I understood the trust issues, it showed the ugliness and the beauty of a relationship genuinely. I loved that they tried their best not for each other but for themselves, the other was only a trigger or motivation but not the sole reason behind their healing. I'd say their character development was great.
This book is worth reading but I am a little disappointed because I expected this to not circle the same themes. And knowing that the next book is more than half a year away, it just makes it even more sad. But I'll reread it again for the smut, 100%.
Also, was I the only one or did anyone else imagine being in a Volkov sandwich in between Jeremy and Adrian when they were talking in the mansion.... because I can think of a few things that could go down....
