God of Fury (Standard Edition) (Legacy of Gods, 5)

Control is my armor. He's the weapon designed to destroy it.
From New York Times bestselling author Rina Kent comes a blistering MM dark romance set in a world of deadly secrets, ruthless heirs, and the forbidden fire between sworn enemies. God of Fury is a story of control unraveling, obsession igniting, and love born in the shadows.
Brandon King is the golden twin--an elite student, gifted artist, and son of a criminal dynasty he wants no part of. He thrives on discipline, silence, and emotional distance.
Until Nikolai Sokolov appears.
A mafia heir with blood on his hands and madness in his gaze, Nikolai is everything Brandon isn't: violent, unfiltered, and magnetic. When Nikolai sets his sights on him, Brandon's carefully curated world begins to unravel. Attraction turns to fixation. Boundaries dissolve. The more Brandon resists, the deeper Nikolai pulls him under.
And the scariest part? Brandon doesn't want to escape.
God of Fury is book five in the addictive Legacy of Gods series but can be read as a standalone. Dive into a world where brutal romance meets academic prestige, every love story is a war, and broken souls find clarity in the chaos of each other.

For context, I read this before starting God of Malice. According to Reddit (and Rina’s own site), you can read them as standalones in the same universe. That’s true—but now that I’ve started God of Malice, I see it offers way more background on the schools, the mafia families, and the overall web of organized chaos that I kinda missed by diving into Fury first. Do I regret it? Hell no! But I’d probably suggest reading in order if you want the full cinematic universe experience.
Now, slight spoiler territory ahead: there’s a recurring theme in both books involving the rape of a main character. Personally, I can handle it—I’m an adult reader, and unfortunately, it reflects real-world horror. I’m not critiquing it, but it’s something I think people should know going in. But it’s something readers might want a heads-up about. It also has me wondering: does this theme persist throughout the series? Is it an intentional thread for exploring trauma? Something from the author’s personal experience? No demand for answers here—just musing out loud.
What really hooked me, though, was Brandon. He’s incredibly relatable. His struggles gave me words for some of my own, which is exactly what literature is supposed to do. So thank you, Rina Kent—I can’t wait to read more of your books.
Overall? Hot as sin, gripping, and a total ride. If you’re into mafia drama, angst, scorching heat, and complex characters wrestling real demons, add this to your list immediately.
