Fate of the Sun King (Artefacts of Ouranos, 3)

The highly anticipated third installment of the steamy Artefacts of Ouranos series journeys deeper into the glittering fae world as Lor puts both her life and her heart on the line in this enemies-to-lovers fantasy romance.

In retrospect, pissing off both the Sun and Aurora Kings wasn't exactly Lor's best plan. Because now they're out for blood. Hers.
But Lor is a survivor. She survived imprisonment, the Trials, and everyone else who's tried to kill her. Now--armed with just enough information to make her dangerous--she's on the run . . . with the Heart Crown in her possession and a prince at her side, who is awakening her locked-up heart and her magic.

Unrest stirs in Aphelion, where the air is heavy with whispers of rebellion--and the secrets of a king who will do everything in his power to cling to his rule. Lor finds herself caught in a maelstrom of lies and betrayal, but she is determined to uncover the truth about the Artefacts and their role in shaping her destiny--bringing her closer than ever to getting everything she's ever wanted . . . or losing it all forever.

Filled with secrets, betrayal, and a love that both stirs and stings deeply, Fate of the Sun King is the third astonishing book in the breakout Artefacts of Ouranos series, perfect for fans of Sarah J. Maas, Jennifer Armentrout, and Rebecca Yarros.

These books aren’t aiming for literary greatness, and honestly, that’s part of their charm. Sometimes it’s just about diving into a vivid, imaginative world and enjoying the ride, even if the writing or storytelling isn’t flawless. Nadir’s powers remain a highlight, beautifully unique and completely captivating. Lor is, at last, showing signs of growth; there are glimmers of the strong leader she could become. Still, I disagree with most of her choices, and she continues to feel like a surprisingly forgettable protagonist. Her nickname? Not my favorite—though I’ll admit, it’s distinctive. This third book finally gives the plot the forward momentum I’d been waiting for. The glimpses into the past, revealing the path to the Ouranos we know now, were some of the most compelling chapters yet.

HOLY CRAP!!! I am an audio book girlie and kindle books. But this series will be bought and placed in the library. This is amazing. This book leaves you on a cliff so you better have the fourth one before you start this one. I did not and I am so mad at myself for it. The twist has hit but not sure where it will lead now I am ordering the physical book to really enjoy it. GET THIS BOOK!!!

I refuse to accept this betrayal. The flashbacks, writen as different POV's, was a great touch as away to giving the reader information and pushing the plot along. I love that it took 3 books to see the bigger picture, the author made me work for it. The plot is interesting and gripping, and not predictable. I am rooting for love ohhh and Gabriel! Gabriel deserves a happy ending just as much as Lor. Solid 4 stars, and a extra quarter star for the investment in the supporting characters.

Ahhh Nisha did it again! This book was absolutely amazing. I loved all the tension and chemistry between Nadir and Lor. I’m so excited to read the conclusion and see how this all wraps up! Especially after that cliffhanger…
