Famine: An Enemies to Lovers in a Ravaged World (The Four Horsemen, 3)

They came to earth--Pestilence, War, Famine, Death--four horsemen riding their screaming steeds, racing to the corners of the world. Four horsemen with the power to destroy all of humanity.

Enemies. Survivors. Lovers. The apocalypse will change everything.

When the Horseman Famine descends on Ana's ravaged city, survival is all she knows--until she crosses his path and is spared for reasons neither understands. Famine's power brings entire populations to their knees, but Ana's stubborn resilience and sharp wit refuse to be crushed. As famine and chaos spread, Ana becomes an unlikely spark of resistance, drawing Famine into a relentless cat-and-mouse game where trust is a weapon and attraction could mean destruction.

Haunted by loss and hunted by fate, Ana and Famine are forced into uneasy alliance as the world teeters on the brink. With every encounter, their animosity blurs into desire, challenging everything they've been taught about mercy, power, and hope. But as the line between enemy and ally dissolves, Ana must decide if risking her heart is worth more than surviving another day.

Perfect for fans of slow-burn, high-stakes fantasy romance, Famine delivers razor-sharp banter, addictive pacing, and an unforgettable heroine in a world where love and ruin walk hand in hand.

This was my favorite so far out of the 3 books I have read so far, but still think War is the sexiest. This had a great storyline, and the imagination was outstanding. The action started immediatly and continued throughout the story....kept waiting for another show to drop. I truly loved the concept of the plants, trees and flowers and how Famine could make then grown anywhere, on anything including humans. The way he controled the weather through his emotions, another really nice touch. For me, Ana "little flower" stole the show. She was lewd, witty, compassionate and her back story was just as traggic as Famine's. Who new that a Horsemen could have such a traggic back story as well and it was traggic. These two were perfect for eachother. The chemistry was electric, a prostitute w/a Horsement, you can only imagine the mind blowing sex they had and it was brought out by the writer in every scene. This story had me laughing in a lot of places and filled my mind with detailed imagination. I love how she incorporates all 4 hoursement in this one and the ending blew my mind, Death is a real son of a bitch. Excited to see what happens in the final book, Death....gotta love an Immortal with Wings.

Again, this was definately, the favorite book so far! MUST READ!

Not quite enemy's lovers... I think this is my favorite book of the series even though they are standalone they blend together, and they were becoming repetitive. I appreciate the twist at the end and I'm curious to see what happens in book 4 wrap up the series so I will be continuing on. It was a change to dual point of views towards the end of the book. This may piss off all of the literary experts out there, I loved it (As always,I am just here for the vibes) And yes there is open door spice, so if that gives you the ick...definitely skip this series!..matter fact skip this author entirely! anway... Famine is the most interesting story of the horseman so far, he also seems to be the most tormented but his bitterness serves the story well. I appreciate what the author did with the female main character Anna is morally grayish, I guess by regular standards due to her profession, But this also makes her the most interesting or the series so far. I love that her profession isn't discussed on a moral level it just is what it is.

I read this book in 3 nights! I could not put it down! The series keeps getting better and better. I loved Ana’s brat energy. I laughed at her one liner’s to Famine and her overall spunk. Famine’s arc was endearing. He was still true to his nature and duty, but at the same time his opinions changed but he wasn’t forced to change. The ending was super exciting!!! I can’t wait to read DEATH next.

This book was much more like the first and I really enjoyed seeing the character arc. I'm excited for the final book in this series!
