Crazy Stupid Bromance (Bromance Book Club)
"[A] catchy premise with surprising wisdom and specificity."--New York Times Book Review on The Bromance Book Club A LibraryReads Hall of Fame Title A hacktivist and a cat café owner decode the friend zone in this romantic comedy from the author of Undercover Bromance.
Alexis Carlisle and her cat café, ToeBeans, have shot to fame after she came forward as a victim of a celebrity chef's sexual harassment. When a new customer approaches to confide in her, the last thing Alexis expects is for the woman to claim they're sisters. Unsure what to do, Alexis turns to the only man she trusts--her best friend, Noah Logan. Computer genius Noah left his rebellious teenage hacker past behind to become a computer security expert. Now he only uses his old skills for the right cause. But Noah's got a secret: He's madly in love with Alexis. When she asks for his help, he wonders if the timing will ever be right to confess his crush. Noah's pals in The Bromance Book Club are more than willing to share their beloved "manuals" to help him go from bud to boyfriend. But he must decide if telling the truth is worth risking the best friendship he's ever had.

Just so good.
Youve got best friends to lovers.
Laugh out loud bromance book club moments. Including the spa day the men took, I was on the floor laughing.
Swoon worthy moments.
The perfect amount of steam.
This series keeps a special spot in my heart and continues to do so

I cannot tell if Lyssa is only a mediocre writer or if she set herself up for failure with the subplots she decided to put into this book.
The kidney subplot enraged me. While reading, I realized I immediately see red and have zero tolerance when I feel like someone is being taken advantage of. I hated Alexis's biological family. They never redeemed themselves. Candi was annoying; Cayden was straight up garage human; the mom and dad were pathetic. I am heartless but Alexis should have walked away after the disaster that was meeting the family.
There was no way to make that plot work without having the whole book be about Alexis building a relationship with her biological family. Instead the family came off as only interested in her because the father desperately needed a kidney and Alexis came off as weak for giving it to him in the end.
On to Noah's subplot: his mom upset me. She said she didn't realize how bad things were between him and Marshall. You want me to believe that she didn't see what an asshole Marshall was for 15 years? 15 YEARS!!! I call bullshit.
The only reason this book got 2 stars instead of 1 star, is because I liked Noah and Alexis and the bromance book club.
