City of Bones: Updated and Revised Edition

It's an interesting concept though the writing could have been better. I particularly dislike the need to point out every fandom reference possible. It felt like something was trying to be pushed on the reader with the excess mentions of weeb or scifi culture.

I enjoyed most characters; Luke and Jace being my favorites. Clary much less so with her privileged, self-righteous attitude. Simon was the worst. He felt like a plot element a lot of the time and an obnoxious interjector most of the time.
