So, this one was less cringe than the first one.
I thought Henry was a predator, still kind of do but the fact that Abbi calls her parents Mama and Daddy and she's 21, kept making me think that she was a lot younger than what she really is. Their 10-year age gap isn't as bad especially because we learn how Henry is a workaholic and acts older than his age. As a 31-year-old, he's done a lot and experienced a lot.
Henry's inability to tell Abbi how he feels and how it seems that he's just very physical with her was disturbing at first and I felt like he was truly taking advantage of her, but he never once forced himself on her or made her feel uncomfortable.
Abbi's continuous insecurity about her looks, where she came from, and her circumstances were very frustrating to read but understandable when her mama was just unbearable. One thing about Henry is that he will show Abbi what he wants rather than tell her. His sense of control is very believable given his position in his company and what he is looking to prove.
This was entertaining and I can't wait to get to the remainder of the series.

Abbi's growth is a breath of fresh air. She is doing what she wants and exploring herself, and I am here for it. However, some of her decisions surprised me so much.
The smut was again well written, and the plot reeled me in. I couldn't wait to dive into book three after this ending.
