It has been approximately two years since I last immersed myself in this series. During that time, I only read books 1, 3, and 4, but now I've decided to begin with the second book. While I expected to be captivated by the characters, particularly with the arranged marriage trope, the development of their relationship felt lacking. Nonetheless, I appreciated Valentina's independent attitude, especially given her position as the boss's wife. I believe I would have enjoyed it even more if Dante gradually opened up throughout the story, rather than all at once in the final three chapters
