Binding 13: Part Two: Boys of Tommen, Book 1

An epic and unforgettable love story begins in Binding 13, the first in the international bestselling and TikTok-phenomenon The Boys of Tommen series, from Chloe Walsh.

He wants to save her. She wants to hide.

She's damaged. He's determined.

Fate brought them together. Love binds them.

Johnny Kavanagh is the definition of popular. He is an all-star rugby player with loads of friends, which means he should be enjoying the many perks of his life. But what people don't know is that he has been dealing with a painful injury that could halt the magnificent trajectory of his career. This means he has no time for distractions or mistakes. Especially not a girlfriend.

Shannon Lynch has been bullied all her life. She is shy and would rather hide herself away to make it through school. But when she arrives at Tommen College for a fresh start, she meets the notorious Johnny Kavanagh on her first day in a not-so-romantic way. What follows is a complicated friendship that turns into undeniable chemistry. It seems that Shannon won't be able to hold onto the anonymous status she once hoped for. But maybe that's alright?

Johnny won't give up on Shannon. No matter what it might cost them both.

Filled with angst and an attraction like no other, Binding 13 will suck you into the bingeworthy Boys of Tommen universe. This book is perfect for readers looking for:

I can't give this book more than 3 stars. I loved the storyline but I am not a slow burn fan and this was SLOOOOWWW. I just feel like there was a lot of fluff. I will, however, read Keeping 13 because I have to know what happens.

This is an honest review. Chloe does a great job at portraying trauma, PTSD, and an overly sensitive character. The book is definitely an emotional roller coaster. I DNFd this book for about 5 months around page 200. Everyone kept saying just stick to it, it gets better. But it was dragging. I decided to finish it the other day and was hooked — different headspace. I was able to finish it even tho I was irritated by the overly descriptive text like every time she looks at Johnny she says how his eyes are blue, literally. I also DNFd at first because I felt the repetition everyone was talking about with one POV and the other. I have met people like Shannon and I’ve felt helpless like Shannon too. For the people who DNF like I did in the beginning it does get better. My heart shattered because Johnny was asleep. Ugh poor Shannon.

Soon as I finished i ran to “Books a Million” to get the second book. “Keeping 13.” It’s a bit dark, and sad. Be aware there are disclaimers of serious certain topics. Love so many side characters such as Gibsie, and Claire. Their dynamic is

This book and all the rest are a workshop in overcoming childhood trauma. This book and its partner are most importantly a clear picture of what it means to love unconditionally and how best to choose love over all external forces.
