American Royals IV: Reign

By Katharine McGee

A queen's life hangs in the balance, and her siblings’ decisions—about what to do, and most of all, who to love—could change the course of history. Romance. Duty. Power...only one can triumph in this stunning conclusion to the New York Times bestselling American Royals series. America's royal family is in shambles. Queen Beatrice is in a coma and Princess Samantha has gone missing—from the look of things, she ran away with her boyfriend, Lord Marshall Davis. Which means that Prince Jefferson is currently on the throne. For some in America, it's exactly what they wanted: a King ruling the country. And for Daphne Deighton, who has tricked Jefferson into dating her again, it's the ultimate dream come true.  Surely this is all just temporary. Won’t Beatrice wake up and reclaim her rightful place? Samantha can't really be gone…can she? And Prince Jefferson will never truly be over his childhood crush, Nina Gonzalez. Right? For the Washington family, the stakes are higher than ever. Love might save the throne….if secrets don’t destroy everything first.

Reign, the crown jewel in the American Royals series—a series that had us all on the edge of our velvet thrones, eagerly awaiting the conclusion. And what a conclusion it was!

I must say, I thoroughly enjoyed how neatly Katharine McGee tied up all those pesky loose ends. It's as if she took a magical broom and swept away all the unresolved drama, leaving us with a picture-perfect ending. Bravo, Katharine, bravo.

The way Queen Beatrice's life hangs in the balance, Princess Samantha disappears into thin air, and Prince Jefferson struggles with his love life—it's like a Shakespearean drama set in modern-day America. Who needs reality TV when you have the Washington family's melodrama to feast upon?

And let's not forget the romance. Oh, the romance! It's like a delicious cocktail of duty, power, and forbidden love, served with a side of royal intrigue. Who will end up with whom? Will true love conquer all, or will duty reign supreme? The suspense is almost too much to handle.

But fear not, dear readers, for McGee guides us through this royal rollercoaster with the grace and poise befitting of a queen. Each page turn is a step closer to enlightenment, a glimpse into the glittering world of America's elite.

As far as ya series go, I usually don't read them all. I often get bored by book two or three. However, Reign is the perfect finale to a series fit for royalty. So grab your tiaras and prepare to be swept away by McGee's majestic storytelling.
