I find myself somewhat conflicted about rating. "All the Colors of the Dark" is undeniably compelling, featuring a methodical plot that unfolds at a slow pace while also incorporating time jumps. I appreciated the author's skill in handling these transitions, as they clearly indicated when the timeline shifted, which helped maintain clarity amidst the complexity.
That said, I did struggle to keep up with the intricate storyline at times. On the positive side, the character development was outstanding, adding depth and nuance to the narrative. The writing provoked thought, filled with subliminal hints and a level of obscurity that encourages readers to form their own interpretations.
Overall, I believe the author tied the storyline together well. However, I felt it was a bit drawn out, which might pose a challenge for some readers wanting to finish the book. The latter portion did pick up in interest and intensity, but the slow pacing earlier on might be off-putting for some.
