This book was basically 85% some lady masturbating in a hotel room, 5% really funny commentary on middle age, and 10% people doing what sound like extremely cringey dances while other people masturbated about them and/or had profound emotions because of their hip hop dance skillz. I haaaaaated this.

This book put me through the ringer! The first part read like my mind when I'm having an anxiety attack, so It was overwhelming. As we moved out of the main characters head and into the story, things got much better. The book was weird, the book was kinky, but at the end, I decided the book was good and I enjoyed the laughs It gave me.

I need to clarify that this was not my favorite novel. The protagonist just cracked me up, and I felt she needed an advocate during book club time. 😄

I hate the main character, I hate her friends that just let her go off the rails, I hated the writing style, I hated the author trying to force the idea that all women react this way to menopause and I hated the absurdity. Don't waste your time.

really a 1.5… took EVERYTHING in me to get past the first 200 pages.
