This book was a light and refreshing break from the books I've read lately. I love a lot of world building and plot development, but sometimes it's exhausting. This book was very low maintenance and so cute. It has a good plot, but it's super easy to follow.

Five stars, easily! If you know me, you know I’m a sucker for a Greek mythology retelling—especially one that flips the script and gives us the female perspective.
This story follows Persephone as she’s pulled into Hades’ world and, in the process, discovers her own power. She starts out as a bystander in a life shaped by her mother’s control and ends as the architect of her own destiny. The spice? Deliciously steamy. But make no mistake—the plot steals the show.
The only thing that could’ve made it better? Duet narration. I would’ve loved hearing Hades’ shadow daddy growl!

Unexpected Delight
I gobbled this book up. I have always loved Greek mythology and this book took my love to new heights.

The Hades / Persephone retelling is pretty common theme for a romance novel, but the world building in this one is probably one of the better ones. The magic system is interesting and I appreciated the focus on minor gods as well.
There’s two other books in this world but they both still focus on Hades / Persephone, so I don’t think I’ll read them. If there were other books in this world that have other main characters, I’d be interested in reading those. I’ll try the lil vampire book from this author at some point.
