A Touch of Darkness (Hades x Persephone Saga Book 1)

You know what? 4 Stars. The book was smokin and I'm always on the hunt for a good Hades & Persephone story between [b:Lore Olympus, Season 1|54463960|Lore Olympus, Season 1|Rachel Smythe|https:i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1603374207l/54463960._SY75_.jpg|84995840] updates. I just wasn't taken with the modernization of the story - I'm not sure why anyone would make Persephone a journalist unless she was a Mary Sue. Not to mention, I wasn't totally smitten with Persephone's character. I guess I have a vague idea of what she would be like (sweet, but if she's to be the Queen of the Underworld, she should also be a Bawse B**ch) and this one was a bit bratty.

This was a good retelling of Hades and Persephone. I really enjoyed the confidence that Persephone begun to develop during this book. I cannot wait to read more of the series

Sublime!! It was a yummy slow burn and I enjoyed every page. The author does such a great job of describing the characters and places that they surrounded me. I was emerged in this story. Starting the sequel tonight!!

This book was a light and refreshing break from the books I've read lately. I love a lot of world building and plot development, but sometimes it's exhausting. This book was very low maintenance and so cute. It has a good plot, but it's super easy to follow.
