A Thousand Boy Kisses (Boy Kisses, 1)

"He kissed me until there was no part of me that didn't know who it belonged to. He kissed me until my heart again fused with his--two halves of one whole."

One kiss lasts a moment. But a thousand kisses can last a lifetime.

One boy. One girl. A bond that is forged in an instant and cherished for a decade. A bond that neither time nor distance can break. A bond that will last forever.

Or so they believe.

When seventeen-year-old Rune Kristiansen returns from his native Norway to the sleepy town of Blossom Grove, Georgia, where he befriended Poppy Litchfield as a child, he has just one thing on his mind. Why did the girl who was one half of his soul, who promised to wait faithfully for his return, cut him off without a word of explanation?

Rune's heart was broken two years ago when Poppy fell silent. But when he discovers the truth of her absence, he finds that the greatest heartache is yet to come.

This Bloom edition includes a special bonus epilogue.

I’m not ever sure how to rate this book… A thousand boy kisses…. More like a thousand ways to break your heart in to pieces. I’m so angry with the ending it was so not happy and it didn’t give me the peace i wanted.. It was truly a great story but it ripped my heart out and I low key never want anyone to ever read it. It’s only receiving a 7 because it was a very well written story

This book left me in shambles... I had trouble reading the book cause my tears wouldn’t left me see. The epilogue wasn’t my favorite, but overall this book was just something else. Rune & Poppy, my babies forever

“This jar is for you to record your boy-kisses, Poppy. All the kisses that make your heart almost burst, the ones that are the most special, the ones you want to remember when you’re old and gray like me. The ones that will make you smile when you remember them in your mind.”

I cried. A lot.

From the first chapter your heartstrings are pulled taut and the tension is constant throughout the entirety of this book. A YA novel of love and loss that reminds us to make the most of what we have when we have it, and to live a life full of "moonbeam hearts and sunshine smiles".
