Okay so i guess we DON’T learn what the apples are about. Can we assume? Sure! But i would have loved a solid answer especially since they were different colors. Other than that: fantastic book series

I am totally in the minority but I was mostly underwhelmed with this book. I would’ve loved to see more of Evangeline and Jacks, and overall I felt bored a lot of the time. There were obviously some good parts, and the whimsy was ever present which made it enjoyable. But overall, I felt that it lacked something.

Overall, I found this book quite disappointing. I was genuinely eager to see how the story would conclude, but it fell flat and felt rushed, leaving me unsatisfied. Throughout the pages, there seemed to be too many moments of stagnation, lacking the sultry, mysterious atmosphere that made the previous books so captivating. I was hoping for more scenes of Jacks trying to win Evangeline back, but he barely appeared in the story. It felt like he was more of a side character. While his elusive presence was familiar, I expected his role in this final instalment to be more prominent, especially in a love story defined by jealousy and possessiveness. This was the perfect moment to showcase those traits fully. Some promising bits started to pique my interest, but they were often rushed through as the narrative quickly moved on, leaving characters just moping around. New villains like Apollo and Aurora emerged, but what about Marisol, Luc, and Tiberius? They barely showed up. The ending left me craving more. I wondered what happened to the last broken heart scar, my theory is it was used during her kiss with Jacks. I also can’t help but think about the apples; perhaps they keep Jacks from fully becoming human and grant him his magic. If he avoids eating them, maybe he will return to being completely human. All in all, I can only give this one 3 stars. Had my questions been answered, I might have rated it five stars. Instead, I felt somewhat frustrated. I still love the series overall, but this was definitely the weakest of the three books. If you enjoyed the earlier instalments, it’s worth reading to wrap up the story, even if it doesn’t leave you wholly satisfied. It’s a shame, because this trilogy had the potential to be a fiery, engaging conclusion, but it just didn't quite deliver.

For sure the best book of the 3 of this series. The ending is still for us to fill in and i am not the biggest fan of that. But i think Garber gracefully dealt with all the monsters giving the lovers the best chance possible.
