This book, much like the first, had a strange tone. When you start reading it, you are sort of out of the story, but the longer you read, the more you submerge. The lack of certainty is an excellent plot propelling device and keeps you wondering about motives. I really enjoy the setting. Overall I enjoyed the book, but I’m not gonna lie I hated how much back and forth Evangeline went with she can’t trust Jacks but then she can and Jacks is sweet to her then he’s cruel.Evangeline is constantly doubting herself and her feelings. I do love the twists in the book and the ending absolutely got me. I can’t stop thinking about how Jacks went back in time to save Evangeline from dying!!!
I never knew it was possible for a book to be worse than Once Upon A Broken Heart. Yet here we are.
And because I hate myself, I will probably read the third one as well.
