⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Ballad of Never After – Twists, Betrayals, and a Cliffhanger That Ruined Me Stephanie Garber did not hold back with this book. If Once Upon a Broken Heart was a beautifully woven fairytale, The Ballad of Never After is a whirlwind of deception, secrets, and heartbreak. This book had twist after twist, and just when I thought I had it figured out, Garber pulled the rug out from under me again and again. Also, the writing in this book was so beautiful I loved how so many mysteries from the first book unraveled in ways I never expected, yet there’s still so much left to uncover. The stakes are higher, the magic is darker, and Evangeline is trapped in an even more dangerous game. Jacks and his "betrayals" in this book completely broke me, but the reasons behind it? Even worse. It’s the kind of heartbreak that lingers not because it was cruel, but because it was inevitable, because there was no other choice, because, underneath it all, something deeper was at play. I still don’t know if I trust him, but I also don’t know if I can blame him. And that cliffhanger was CRIMINAL. I finished the book, sat in stunned silence for about a minute, and then immediately bought the e-book and audiobook because I needed to know what happens next

This is one of my favourite books of all time. You get to understand jacks more as you things are revealed throughout the book. It was definetly a ten star read.
