New feature alert!  When you host an online video meeting using Bookclubs, you can now record your meeting to share later!

How Do I Host a Video Meeting on Bookclubs?

To host a virtual meeting on the Bookclubs platform, you'll need to upgrade your club to a Bookclubber Pro Plus subscription.  Once you have, it's easy to make any meeting a video meeting by simply checking the “Host Video Meeting On Bookclubs” box when you create your meeting.

Your book club members will be able to join the meeting using either the Bookclubs app or website—no need to download or use a separate tool! You can learn more about how to set up a video meeting on Bookclubs here.

How Do I Record My Video Meeting?

Once you've in your meeting, you can start recording by clicking on the "More" icon (three dots) on the bottom navigation bar.  This will open up a menu, which includes the option to "Record."  Once you've clicked this button, you (and everyone else on the call) will see a pop-up message that "this meeting is being recorded."  You'll also see a red "REC" indicator in the upper left corner of your screen that confirms your meeting is being recorded.

Note: only club admins and/or the meeting creator will see the option to start a recording.

To stop recording, click on the same "More" icon on the bottom navigation bar and then click on the "Stop Recording" option.

How Do I Get a Copy of My Recording?

After your meeting is over, you'll get an email from Bookclubs with a link to download a .mp4 file of your recording.  If you stopped and started recording multiple times during your meeting, each recording session will be sent to you as a separate link.

The link is valid for 7 days so please be sure to download and save your recording during this time frame!

Happy book clubbing!
