The Paired Pages Society

A once-a-month book club based in Memphis, Tennessee, for readers who love both imagination and inquiry. Each month, we read two books—one fiction and one nonfiction—connected by a shared theme, and come together to explore how real life informs storytelling, art, and culture. Our discussions focus on the conversation between truth and invention: how lived experience becomes narrative, how facts shape fiction, and how stories help us understand the world around us. We prioritize diverse literature by queer, Indigenous, and POC authors, and aim to create a thoughtful, welcoming space for curious readers who enjoy deep conversation, multiple perspectives, and meaningful connections. Come for the books, stay for the dialogue—and leave with a broader lens on both reality and imagination.
