The Indie Readers' Circle

Welcome to The Indie Readers' Circle

Great stories can come from anywhere, and some of the most rewarding reads are the ones we haven't discovered yet.

The Indie Readers' Circle is a welcoming community for people who enjoy discovering independent and emerging authors, exploring fresh voices, and sharing their thoughts on books that deserve to be read and discussed.

What We Read

We explore independent books across a range of genres, including crime and mystery, thrillers, romance, fantasy, historical fiction and contemporary literature. Our selections will offer variety, encourage discovery and give members the chance to read beyond familiar names and bestseller lists.

How Our Club Works

We aim to feature one book each month, giving members time to read at their own pace before joining the discussion. Members can suggest books, vote on future selections, share recommendations and take part in conversations about the characters, themes, storytelling and moments that made an impression.

We'll also feature independent authors from time to time, with opportunities for readers to learn more about the people and ideas behind the books.

Who Can Join?

Whether you're a lifelong reader, someone looking for your next favourite author, or an independent author interested in connecting with readers, you're welcome here.

You don't have to finish every book to participate, and you certainly don't have to agree with everyone. We value thoughtful opinions, friendly conversation and respectful differences of view.

Our Community Guidelines

- Be respectful of other members and their opinions.

- Use spoiler warnings when discussing important plot details.

- Keep book recommendations relevant to the club.

- Share promotional material only where appropriate, and respect the community's reader-first approach.

- Help us create an environment where everyone feels comfortable joining the conversation.

Our Aim

We're here to discover worthwhile books, support a culture of reading, introduce readers to independent voices and enjoy the conversations that good stories inspire.

Every new book is an opportunity to discover something unexpected. We look forward to discovering those stories together.

Read something different. Discover a new voice. Find your next great read.
