The Bookery

Hi there! Welcome to the Bookery! This club is a North TX/DFW-based book discussion club mostly focusing on fantasy of any and all subgenres (romantasy, dark fantasy, epics - whatever! Bonus points if it has dragons.) This club is for the purpose of making new friends and having lots of interesting & nuanced book discussions!

Please note this is an 18+ only club, as many books we cover might contain mature themes unsuitable for readers under a certain age. Be warned!

On a similar note (while this is hopefully not a club you feel you have to do homework for!) in-depth conversation about the books we read is welcomed and expected. Any and all opinions are to be respected!* No one is allowed to criticize or dismiss anyone else's thoughts or feelings out of hand, whether they be positive OR negative.

(But there's nothing wrong with a pinch of healthy debate - if you are able to respectfully defend your arguments using solid textual evidence! >:])

We will tentatively meet semimonthly (for example, on the 4th/18th or the 6th/22nd) and books will be chosen through a combination of predetermination and voting.
