As the Superintendent of our high school, I’ve noticed that students are reading less and less. My goal is to help bring back the joy of reading, to pick up a book for fun, look forward to the next chapter, and experience the suspense, action, and imagination that stories can bring.

I’d love to see less time on phones and more time spent reading and having real conversations. This is an experiment, and honestly, if even one student chooses to read along with me, it will be worth it.

We will vote on the books we read, and all selections will be PG-13 or lower. All genres are welcome, including romance, history, nonfiction, fiction, thriller, and more. This is your club as much as it is mine.

We will start by meeting online every other month. If there is a strong interest, we can meet more often.

If you’re not a big reader yet, that’s okay. This is a great place to start.

Also, if getting a copy of the book is a challenge, please email me or come see me. I will make sure you have what you need to be part of this.
