About Practice What You Read

Practice What You Read

is a community for turning inspiring ideas from books into real-life experiments and practices. Instead of discussing about the book, we come together to try it, reflect on what happens, learn from and support each other's experiences.

This means we will spend more than 1 meeting on the same book in order to actually practice and experiment with the ideas.

This is probably a good fit for you if

  1. You are self-reflective and want to become more coherent and authentic while helping others do the same.
  2. You are open to sharing your experiences and reflections for the purpose of personal growth.
  3. You are willing to listen, paraphrase, and ask clarifying questions (instead of jumping to give advice)

About me, your facilitator

I am an educator, facilitator, and certified yoga instructor based in Anaheim with over eight years of public-school teaching experience.

Between the classroom and the yoga studio, my work has always been about creating experiences where people can explore with an open mind, share with a warm heart, and connect more meaningfully with one another.

I also host a meetup called Compassionate Connections where we have Conversations that Connect. You can find more info about that here https://meetup.com/convosthatconnect
