Philly Sci-Fi Society

Hi! I’m so glad you found us. This bookclub is still fairly new and finding it's way, but I (Katie) started this club after realizing there wasn’t really a sci‑fi–specific book club around here, and it felt like a void that needed to be filled.

We’ve settled into a bit of a groove now though. We usually meet about once a month, give or take a couple of weeks depending on the book, and we meet on weekends. Right now we gather in person at my (Katie's) apartment building. There’s a great community space and a rooftop that’s perfect for our group.

That said, we always have a virtual option going at the same time. We set up a laptop with a Google Meet link so people can join remotely if they can’t make it in person.

I originally started this to gauge interest, and it’s been really nice to see it come together. I’d love for this to stay a flexible monthly thing where we can adjust based on what we’re reading.
