Newport Beach Silent Book Club

Welcome to the Newport Beach Silent Book Club!

We are a laid-back group looking to promote a local reading community. There is no assigned reading or discussion guide - that's the "silent" part of our book club.

We simply meet up, take a few minutes to get settled and introduce ourselves, then read for about an hour. Afterwards, we take turns going around so everyone who wants to can tell us a little about their book and share their thoughts. We then open the floor to book-ish questions and conversation. Including the hour of reading, events typically last 2 hours.

It is a great way to meet like-minded local readers, work on reading goals, and get a good recommendation for your next read.

All readers, all book genres, and all book formats (traditional, ebook, audiobook, etc) are welcome! There's no cost involved - just bring your book and a smile.
