Light Novels Club

Welcome to the Light Novels Club!

A light novel is a novel with manga-style illustrations that are commonly adapted into manga or anime. Many Light Novels are adapted from serialized fiction, or webnovels on sites like shousetsuka ni narou (“Let’s become novelists!”), Qidian (“Starting Point”), and Munpia (“Novel Utopia”), to name a few.

A light novel is a japanese publishing term, however, the club won't only cover japanese light novels. We'll also cover types that are published in China and Korea with similar publication styles.

Whether you're an anime-only watcher or manga reader, if you also love books, you'll love reading light novels, and other novels like it.

Meetings

The first meeting for the club will be discussed among its members for availability. Most clubs meet monthly, so this club will most likely adopt the same schedule.

Book Selection

Book selections will be prioritized by accessibility. Factors such as library availability, digital access, and affordability for members will be considered when choosing future reads. In addition to published novels, we may occasionally discuss web novels that inspired later light novel releases, providing additional reading options and opportunities for comparison and discussion.
