Book Club Baddies

Welcome to Book Club Baddies, where books and banter collide! We’re a fun, diverse group of ladies who meet every fourth Sunday in person around Houston to dive into a little bit of everything—smut, fantasy, romance, mystery, horror, you name it. Our meetings start off with real book talk, but things quickly get spicy as the convo usually veers into some hilariously inappropriate territory. If you’re looking for a place to read great books, meet new people, and enjoy unfiltered discussions, you’re in the right spot. We just ask that you’re ready to show up, be open-minded, and aren’t afraid to talk about all the juicy details. Join the club and let’s get reading!

Book Club Baddies Standing Rules

Attendance for New Members:

New members are required to attend at least one meeting within the first three months of joining. If they do not attend within this period, their membership will be revoked.

Regular Attendance:

All members are expected to attend at least one meeting every three months. Failure to do so may result in a review of their membership status.

Book Selection:

• Each member has the opportunity to suggest books via the “Books We Want to Read” list within the Bookclubs App.
• The group will vote for each month's book through a ranked choice poll that is conducted on the Bookclubs App.

Respectful Conduct:

Disrespectful or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. Members should foster a respectful and inclusive environment for all participants.

Book Completion:

While it is encouraged, members are not required to finish the book to attend meetings. Active participation and engagement with the group are more important than finishing the reading.

Communication:

All club-related communication will be conducted through the designated platform, Bookclubs App. Members should check for updates regularly.

Special Events:

Book club outings, guest author events, or other activities may be scheduled occasionally. Participation is optional but highly encouraged.

Dues and Contributions:

If applicable, members may be asked to contribute dues for group activities or expenses. Contributions will be discussed and agreed upon collectively.

Membership Review:

Membership will be reviewed annually to ensure the club maintains a committed and engaged group.

Feedback and Suggestions:

Members are welcome to provide feedback or suggestions for improving the book club during meetings or through the designated communication platform.
