I absolutely love our members! My goal is to create a community of friends who read together and have regular discussions to share our opintions and thoughts for each title. Members are not only allowed to, but are also encouraged to invite friends/family to join us. Please always remember Minimum Participation is required here. So If you invite anyone, please be sure to point out the rules:

Minimum Participation means:

1. Be responsive to club messages even if you just click the thumbs up

2. Vote in ALL polls

3. RSVP to all meetings, a no works if you cant make it.

4. Answering any DM from the admin team.

The atmosphere here is relaxed and fun. We read 3 books a month in a variety of genres, although thrillers seems to be our favorite! There are no minimum reading requirements here. Our goal is too enjoy some books, have good chats and enjoy each other's company. Even if you don't read the book, feel free to join in the meetings! We discuss each book in enough detail that you can enjoy the conversation and participate in club business. I encourage you to jump right in with both feet!

When: 1st, 3rd and Last Saturday of every month

Big Comfy Couch Basics

Anyone can recommend a book by telling me at the end of a meeting, posting a message in the club or privately to me or within in the app, books we want to read section. Books are added during the month and then at the end of the month we post a poll for everyone to vote, yes or no if they would be interested in reading the suggested title.

60% or more member support puts the title on our main reading list, aka Spin2Read list.

50-59% member supports puts the title on our bonus book list which is what we pull from for the last Saturday of the month.

3 books are then randomly selected from the appropriate list based upon the schedule for members to then vote for their favorite. The title with the most votes is what we read. Books stay on the list until they are read. If there is a tie, I use a spin wheel to randomly select which of the two books we will read.

Everyone is important to me so voting in the polls, RSVP for meetings, attending meetings, recommending books are all activities vital to our success and your enjoyment. If you don't interact with us, why join? Please jump in with both feet .. I promise you won't regret it!
