📚 Welcome to Between Sessions Book Club

A space just for us—mental health professionals who love a good book and a meaningful conversation. Whether you’re here to expand your clinical insight, spark personal reflection, or just unwind with peers who get it, you’re in the right place.


🕰 How It Works

We meet at least once a month, virtually or in-person depending on what works best for the group. Meetings are casual, thoughtful, and always open to your ideas and insights. Don’t worry if you can’t make every meeting—just come when you can and bring your whole self when you do.


📖 What We Read

We pick books that speak to the work we do and the lives we lead. Titles may include:
 • Mental health and counseling topics
 • Substance use and recovery narratives
 • Memoirs, case studies, or fiction with psychological depth
 • Anything that helps us better understand people—and ourselves

If it’s thought-provoking, reflective, or relevant to our field, it’s fair game.


💬 Participation Vibes

We’re here to grow, not to grade. A few things we keep in mind:
 • Come as you are—whether you’ve finished the book or only got through chapter one
 • Share your thoughts, but also make space for others
 • Bring curiosity, kindness, and a willingness to explore different perspectives
 • Suggest titles! We rotate who gets to help pick what’s next
 • Above all: this is a judgment-free zone—we’re here to learn with each other, not at each other.
