This book club is meant to offer a space to discuss everything relating to ancient Greece, including (but not limited to) history, literature, and philosophy. 

Our books will be either from this time period or on this time period, with the occasional brunching out (if that is wished) to related topics.

As such, we will be reading mostly classics and nonfiction, though we are by no means limited to these two book types. Other genres, such as historical fiction, or modern adaptations of ancient plays, could very well fall under the scope of this book club, for example. 

We might also compare translations, such as of the Iliad and the Odyssey, if there's interest.

Besides the fixed topic, I'm flexible towards the club members' wishes.

The focus, however, will remain mostly on actual ancient texts as well as modern scholarship.
